Thanksgiving decor

Happy Birthday to me !

So today for my birthday, Mom, Kailyn and I went out to lunch. I picked Chedders. The first time I ate there it was really good.  Today, it was just okay.  Next year I will pick out someplace different.

Even after all that food, Kailyn was dying for apple pie with ice cream.  She hardly let anyone else get a spoonful.

After lunch, we went back to my mom's house to open presents.  I got a card with money and a yummy smelling candle.

My CVS deal

I am not a hard core CVS extra buck shopper but I do it when I can find stuff that I truly use.  Today I had $9.00 in extra bucks that expire tomorrow.  So this is what I got for the low, low price of .02 cents.

I had a $1 off coupon for the shampoo and a .75 cents off coupon for the dental floss.  The coupon machine gave me a coupon for the Crackerfuls for Free.  My coupons combined with the extra bucks I had made the total purchase .02 cents.  Plus I got $2 extra bucks for next time. Woo Hoo !!!

Santa-Cali-Gon

Every Labor day weekend in our town we have a festival called Santa-Cali-Gon.  It is because Independence,MO was the starting point for the Santa Fe, California and Oregon trails over a hundred years ago.  The festival is full of food, crafts, music and a carnival. Kailyn and I headed up there this morning and it was a beautiful day. Only about 75 degrees and sunny.

Kailyn got me to buy her a cowboy hat.  Pictures to come later.  I bought her a pulled pork BBQ sandwich that she ate like she was starved and then we got a peach cobbler with ice cream. Yum !!
 She is wearing her new blingy {yes that's a word} sunglasses that she got at Santa-Cali-Gon yesterday.

There was a lot more that we would have liked to buy... crafts, jewlery, candles..... but everything is so expensive.  We walked around a bit more and then headed home.  It was a nice morning.

Friday night football

Friday night was Chrisman's first home game.  It was sooo hot outside but we went to the game anyway. This is Kailyn before the game.

Here she is doing her water girl job.  I didn't know she could be so helpful {smile}.

The football game wasn't very good.  They lost and didn't play well at all.  Maybe next time I go it will be cooler and they will win.  Kailyn was a great water girl though !

Scrappy Sunday

Today, in between laundry and grocery shopping, I did a little bit of crafting.  I made a small halloween banner.  See if you can spot the mistake in it.

I also made some halloween flash cards.  I will probably put some ribbon on them and place them around my halloween decorations.  It won't be long before fall and halloween decorating begin.

First day of School

Today was the first day of school.  It seems way to early and summer cannot be over yet !  Kailyn was up at the crack of dawn as usual on the first day of school.
